Halong Bay

By Ezo
Another World Heritage Site image today!

Thanks all for the comments on the Newari Temples yesterday, much appreciated.

Here we have just a small selection of typical Vietnamese boats one can see in this beautiful bay that features a wide variety of limestone karsts of varying shapes and sizes.

It really is an enchanting place with a small number of floating fishing villages residing in the bay itself sustaining themselves through fishing and marine aqua culture.

Again, my advice is, if ever you happen to be in northeast Vietnam and fancy taking in some dramatic scenery make a beeline for Halong Bay..
