When Ben Murphy joined the Master Class in 2018, he was Great Britain’s fresh new hope in the Red Bull Air Race. But nobody dreamed how quickly he would add to the country’s renowned Air Racing legacy. The decorated former Team Leader of the RAF aerobatic team “The Red Arrows” finished a stunning sixth at the season opener, earned advancements to the Round of 8 in over 60 percent of his races, and closed the year with two consecutive appearances in the Final 4.
In his second season in the Master Class, Murphy pushed his team even more, finally achieving a well deserved podium place, finishing 2nd in the Lake Balaton, Hungary race. He then went on to finish 4th overall in the World Championship; an outstanding achievement for just his second season in the motorsport series.
