Hanging around Heathrow with Laura

By nellacphoto
Found an amazing roadside spot near to Hatton Cross tube station (watch out ericsamson!) just by the end of the runway

This was our second visit. As a result of not planning properly and doing my research, on our first visit the planes were taking off, much further back, from this runway and landing on the other non-accessible one.

It's all there on Heathrow's website, which time and days they switch runways.

Much harder than I imagined to get the shot I wanted ... (I never did really) ... but still a heck of a thrill having an Airbus A380 land above you almost within touching distance!

It pays off to do your research. I noticed some of the images (those under cloudy sky where she doesn't wear sunglasses, like the lead one) seem bring a yellowish tint on her skin, or am I seeing wrong?

A woman with her very own fly over / fly past. And that's before she becomes mega famous.

A great opportunity for some rather different shots, Colin and very well taken advantage of. And well done to Laura for showing no sign of nerves. A true professional. Wink
Oh, and some lovely portraits too.

You may well be right Pablo ... I do have a habit of "warming" pictures up a bit when editing

Thanks

An impressive set of images though I was slightly thrown by V4 which doesn't look like Heathrow as I remember it. 🥴 However, the last time I was there it was no more than a collection of tents and a few corrugated tin huts. I'm 103 you know! Yesterday I was only 93 but I can't get the hang of time on this planet. Preferred my old one; life seemed to make sense on Planet Betamax. Would either you or Laura be amenable to the idea of wing walking on an A380 Airbus? I've walked on the top deck of a Trent Bus but I don't think it's the same.
What day is it?
Humph! (That's both a name and a grumpy exclamative.) 🧐 ✈️

Thanks Graham
v4 - Coco Durel ... my mate from Venice Carnival ... how the heck did she get in there?!
Needless to say, despite her having a nice pair of wings ... she has to go ...
Thanks for highlighting her sneaky entrance
