Today, July 17th, is Ansel's third birthday and though he doesn't seem phased by it, I thought it worth celebrating in photographs. Apart from the opening montage, they are presented in the order that they were taken.
I always describe Ansel as a rescue dog. I didn't rescue him, he rescued me. He came into my life in October 2017, just over a month after Garrath died and he gave me a reason to get up in the morning, to have a routine and to go out. In fact he gave me a reason to live. I shall always be grateful to him for that and to my friend Sylvia, her daughter Amy and the farmer Ian who together arranged, nay plotted, to make sure I took him.
I cannot imagine life without him or without his younger brother Alfred, both of whom make my life worth living.
