*HAPPY EASTER* from Chili

By ChiliMan
ChiliMan wishes a very Happy Easter to all EPZers, Pete, and the EPZ staff.

Now I was gonna upload a Silly Sunday image. Then I thought it’s Easter so why not some flower shots. And then THIS thing happened today.

My mum’s friend from the house opposite was doing some gardening. She came over with this lovely thing for me to photograph since she knows I love taking pictures. How sweet is that??

This fella is twice as big as the one I put up not too long ago . He measures about 7cm, as can be seen in V5, which was taken on the driveway.

Vs 1-4 were taken on white paper by the living room window. He started crawling away, as you can see. Bored by the photoshoot. Models these days…bah…

Anywho, these can be Easter images, can’t they? Chicks are yellow and fluffy…and this caterpillar is yellow and furry…not too far a stretch, eh?

Thanks, Helen and Carole Smile

Carole, I had to be careful with him lest I touched him, especially after he crawled onto the paper. Had to get him off the paper into this plastic box we'd set out for him. We want to see him change and see exactly what he changes into.

Clean and simple images, and beautifully captured. I do like the symmetry on v1, and the Easter imagery.

I love the off-centres ones of V2 and V4, but a beauty. What a good neighbour you have.

He's a real delight to see in all his Easter yellow fluffiness! Will be so interesting discovering what he turns into. Interesting set with V1 being my favourite. Off outside to try and capture an image of Easter Bunny!Grin

Wondering if this is a moth caterpillar? He'll need food if you are going to keep him, otherwise he won't go into pupae stage. Sometimes the hairs have stingers in them, so be careful.
I've looked around at but cannot find this one. They only list US caterpillars/moths/butterflies, but of course some species are found all over the world.

Wonderful shots Andrew, like V4 best, think it's the symmetry and sense of movement. Not too many mentions of the 'Easter caterpillar' in my Bible though...

But seriously, original and beautifully taken shot.

kind regards,

I shouldn't have missed this.
Gorgeous. Appeals to my sense of weird greetings. Thatis why I love the asymmetric comp in no 4. Of course no 1 is fantastic, too.
