I always feel a sense of sadness when I see old boats in this condition but they make for excellent subjects for us: excellent detail in the decaying paintwork and superstructure.

As a sailor, seeing an old sailboat decaying like this saddens me also, particularly a wooden boat. On the other hand, as a photographer, I love boats, cars, barns, houses, as they decay and return to the earth. There is a wonderful kind of imagery there. Great photo here.

You would think the harbour authorities would want it removed as it is a hazard............but it does make for a good image............GrinGrinGrin

Great image, if only a bit flat. I feel like vignetting, artificially brought in for drama effect, flattened all the rest. Would be interesting to see opposite - the same vignetting, but with opposite values (lightening). This could make the wreck stand out of foggy background, not sink in the doom. I believe this ship deserves to be risen to it's full beauty again - cause it's hull looks very solid yet.
Liked the image anyway!
