Today's image is that of a a gorgeoud Harris Hawk who is a resident at a local Bird Sanctuary after being shot.

This was on my Guest Editor shortlist, and didn't quite make the cut, because I'd like to see a little bit more sparkle in the eyes, a bit more highlight detail. I suspect a simple Levels adjustment would sort it for me...

It is an intense and rivetting image just as it stands, so please accept my UA.

Terrific ! Those eyes - I would hate to be a small rodent. At 40mm focal you must have been really close.
