Hi, Dave. I know you're very fond of this look - the HDR tones, the colour palette - and I have to say that I tend to prefer a straight shot. There's a loss of depth of tone with this, and I long for the sort of rich colours that Kodachrome gave.

I've had a play, and offer you three mods, but I suspect that going back to the RAW file would allow you to produce something amazing.

I other day I said this is one place in England I have not been. Looking at your wonderful image I think that I will have correct that very quickly. Great job...

John,

I do like your mods, especially No 1. Its straight to jpeg so no RAW available. I used to use AGFA Chrome slide, would you think this is more like that output. I seem to remember it was more subdued and tended to blue tone.
I'm also aware that recently I may have overdone the Post Processing and am actively trying to pull back on this.

Post Process remains my weak area, although improving.

Thanks for your comments, as constructive and insightful as usual.

Processing is my weak area, too, Dave - as exhibited in my blog today!

I was a great fan of Agfa slide film: from 50S to Professional 100X: subtle, gentle, but with really good colour, I found... I shall dig out a few examples for Film Friday - but I don't actually need an excuse for film shots!
