Harvesting Coconuts

Ingenious way of harvesting coconuts; connecting dried bamboo of the sames sizes and diameter without special connectors. But just rubber strips tied around the receiving end to prevent breaking. When the smaller diameter end of the pole is inserted.

Very interesting Johnny. I have a photograph of my dad up a cocunut tree in Trinidad, this way looks so much safer. Pam

Yes, indeed it looks safe Pam. But, many inexperienced people who didn't pay attention to what they were doing have gotten killed when a coconut didn't fall in it's intended path. Instead rolled on the leaf stalk and didn't see it coming and falling on top of their head.
