harvestman

By bunbeam
I saw this harvestman waving its legs about in the mud, I couldn`t work out what it was doing, so I picked it up with a stick to get a close up and realised it was in the middle of eating a little slug..
It`s posh name is Phalangium opilio
All one handed macro shots while holding the stick..
Thanks for all the brilliant comments and all the clicks on my hoverfly shots, very much appreciated xxxxxx

Lol, Ed. He didn't leg it or let go of his dinner, but decided to stick with it and carry on regardless.

Good pictures, Bun. I hope that you didn't give it indigestion by disturbing it.

Please export some of these to me - what a wonderful insect: a slug eater. They should be super bred - they are needed. You never cease to amaze with these detailed captures of yours Smile
