Hastings Pier

By SteveCharles
I uploaded a panoramic version a couple of days ago, here's a portrait on a less wide lens.

Experimenting with a low cost 10-stop filter option, this is taken with the rather Heath-Robinson set up of an SRB ‚£30 ND-1000 screw-in, on a circular polariser, on a 35mm af/d lens. There may have been a 3-stop ND added as well but can't remember for this shot.

I arrived at this solution after going mad at the eye-watering cost of getting filters onto my 14-24 lens, before going for the SRB to screw into my 20mm prime, with step-up rings to fit onto lenses like the 35mm. However, I couldn't stop looking for a solution and lo and behold, good old MPB had the Lee SW150 adapter and Big stopper in stock secondhand, so I just ordered it. Anybody got a 150mm polariser they don't want?

I think I prefer this one to the panoramic. Great colour saturation

Thanks, I'm inclined to agree Smile The panoramic was just a crop I liked from a wider shot.

And thanks Prin for the UA
