Hat & Scarf Weather

There was a practical night at the camera club the other night - part of it was 'off camera flash'.
Of course, I had to try something different from the others.
She rather liked my hat despite it being slightly too small for her; so I cropped in tightly to lose the 'perched on top' look.
I am glad to say, she liked the pictures.
I was just glad I got something usable as she was dancing about rather a lot and I was using an old manual lens.

I love the curve of the hat brim covering the eyes, I'd rather see the lower face in full though. We have made a lot of use of accessories at our group's portrait sessions, they seem to help models to relax and feel more self-confident.

I like the simplicity of this - the tight crop, done for whatever reason, is perfect for the subject matter. The toning gives associations with a bygone era...
