Hatchet Pond

By Paintman
A photo from Hatchet Pond in the New Forest.

I thought the sunset might have been quite good on Saturday so went to the pond to see what I could get. Whilst starting to shoot a photographer by the name of Scott Chalmers came up and introduced himself to me. He'd just come from a wedding in Bournemouth as the second shooter. You might like to have a look at his work. Turns out he's pretty goodSmile

This is what he does.

Lovely image though I thought the colours were a little on the pale side. I put it into Photoshop camera raw and reduce the highlights right down and pulled back on the clarity to soften the image. I then opened the image copied the background, layers panel - blending mode - overlay. I then added a layers mask and pained in black over the water to lighten it a little. Hope you like my mod
