Hatfield Green Man

By baclark
Hi everyone, many thanks for the C&C's on - That Photographer Was Delicious.

Sorry I've not been around much, lots on and a worrisome cat who has decided not to come indoors for 2 nights. I wouldn't worry too much but she is the one who got bitten by the fox last year and it keeps coming in the garden Sad All the antifox devices, water scarers etc also squirt cats so sadly aren't any good.

Anyway finally got her in last night and she is now having a few days in to remember how nice indoors is; brushes, cuddles to have, flea treatment..... Ahhh perhaps she knew that was due! Wink

Anyway a break from the Moore images, here's a green man on the wall at Hatfield House. Not great lighting as it was lunchtime, but I liked the way he blended inwith the wall. Mono V2 for those who might prefer it.

Take care, thanks for looking.
Barbara

Super texture. Of course, as you'll know, V1 gets the vote from me. Hope sends her regards and fully appreciates the tortures of flea treatment, even for Jack Russells!

He seems to have grown naturally out of the wall, and that impression is stronger with V2 for me.
Cats are independent creatures, we don't have them, they have us. Just occasionally they like to give us a shock, to remind us how lucky we are to be owned by them.

I have a slight preference for V2 as the green dangly leaf seems more organically involved with the face when not in colour: assimilatio of Man to Nature, I suppose! Excellent detail.

I prefer the coloured version of this beautiful shot today Barbara. I think it is all the beautiful tones and that bit of blue sky!
So glad that the fox didn't get your cat, I hope you told her off for staying out til all hours!

Hi Barbara, sorry you having problems with the moggies ~ Here we have the solution of sending the dog out and he rounds them up back into the house, quite a sight to see, sheepdogs round up sheep our cross shepherd and retriever rounds up cats Lol.

Super shot, you definately have the photographers eye.

Busy Barbara, cats are a problem. Karin my daughter has left her flat due to threats on herself and her cat. The cat now resides in a cattery till a new home can be found ! Back to the image love the texture ! see you both on Monday for my lecture !

Great piece of work, wonderful tones and textures, Barbara Smile Think it has to be the colour version for me, it looks a little lost against the background in mono I feel Smile
Hope your poor cat's now got over her trauma! Sad

The textures are wonderful and lend themselves to such wild imaginings! I can see a little girl in the right eye (our right, not his) - she has her hand out leaning against a wall, and is holding up her skirts with her other hand. I think there's a goose at her feet looking up at her. Now where did I put that bottle of wine.....
