An image from my day out at Duxford Airshow, Battle of Britain
This aircraft P2902 was built in 1939 as a Mk.1 by Gloster Aircraft and first flew in October of that year starting life with 245 Squadron at Drem in Scotland flying shipping patrols. On May 31. The aircraft got into a dogfight with BF 109E and was damaged and wentt down to crash land on a beach in Dunkirk, where it remained until recovered by French enthusiasts in 1988.
