Head Banger

By Maiwand
I would like to ask all lovely people to look kindly and enjoy this shot of my very first GSW of 2017. I always hoped that I would not post images of birds on feeders but circumstances at present are making life difficult for me and this at present is about as good as it gets.
I had the misfortune to take a fall in Jan 2016 and break my right arm. I have found it very difficult to get out and about as I have in the past. I went in to the local NHS 'repair shop' on 21st Dec for some remedial work so I am still feeling somewhat stiff and ungainlly. I had to resort to my little hand held Fuji for this and as it was my first bird for 2017 I hoped you would see some merit in it.
Hope matters will soon cheer up.!!!!!!
I would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Successful 2017 and say 'Thank You' to all those members for the support and best wishes I have received in the past year.

Its still a beautiful shot Ron;
I captured a WP on our dripping pot for the first time on Christmas Day, and today for the first time captured long tailed tits on the nuts (but not very well!)
Get well soon and hope you soon feel better,

Still a fair shot and it does show typical activity, so worth taking and showing.

Hope your recovery goes well.

My favorite bird Ron, love these Woodpeckers. Great capture, very sorry to hear your not well Ron nothing worse than a fall for any of us. I should know my life changed drastically after falling 6 feet I had to have a leg amputated. You take care, nothing wrong with birds on feeders. And I hope your 2017 improves for you

The bird image speaks of a skilled photographer--- never mind the perch!

The Cornell Feeder Watch people encourage images showing birds on feeders----an attempt to get people interested in feeding and enhancing bird's life!

Bravo to you!

Excellent shot. I hope that your health improves soon.
I know what it is like to have limited movement of the limbs, unfortunately
I don't think that mine are likely to improve much, due to my very advanced years. Wink
