Head to Foot

By SlowSong
Went to the Anthony Gormley exhibition at the RA today. I've not seen anything of his work except for the figures on the beach and the Angel, and it was interesting. I loved his sketches too; I didn't expect those. This was taken inside a steel structure called Cave, which you can walk through into complete darkness and out again. The lead is a mono and you can just pick out the head of a man, and a foot of someone else. The Version is left as colour to show what it was really like inside.

I will be putting some more up later in the week.

Many thanks to Peter for his UA on my wanderings around my living room yesterday. It was good to get out today. Smile

Version for me. It actually reminds me of a work of mine uploaded not long ago.

Two stunning images with the composition of the version, by a whisker.

Both are wonderful, I slightly prefer the version but I'm not sure why.
Thanks for this, the exhibition is only on until December so we shall miss it. But his work is wonderfully involving, it has human universality. And I love the drawings.

Lead image for me - I see another face looking the opposite way to the man - like the light on the 3rd persons foot too. Interesting image.

It's like the interior of the Hepworth Gallery here in Wakefield, being all lines and angular bits! Sounds to have been quite interesting Chris, especially in that Cave 👍
