Nice and evocative. Just to be pedantic I don't think its a Herdwick, its too chunky and has no black head, but difficult to judge at that angle and distance.

Thank you for the kind comment, in respect of the sheep it is indeed a Hardwick, though admittedly may not look like it. I was fortunate to live 10 minutes from the valley for 3yrs, they only farm herdwicks there, think it written in as condition by national trust and dates back to Beatrix potter and her legacy.
