Heading Upstream

By Daisymaye
Fighting his way up stream, between rocks and rapids. I didn't want to hang around too long in case a bear appeared. Many have been seen and I was by myself. They would probably run or just ignore me. But I'm a little chicken. When it comes to bears or cougars anyway.
And a big thank you to Straycat, for his UA for my Fish Out of Water.

V2 is to show how many fish was in the creek pools.

You call yourself chicken and you are out on your own in a place that has bears, I don't think so.

Two great images.

Look at that hooked nose monster. Nice colour and full of drive. On his way back downstream he will have faded to a mere shadow. That's when these fish make turkey vultures and eagles very happy. Upstream though, they make us photogs happy. TG

Two excellent shots.

It is one of my life ambitions to see Grizzlies fishing in the wild, one that will never be achived of course, so I would have been tempted to stick around, preferably in the safety of a wheeled vehicle with the windows closed!

Doesn't seem complete without the bears after all the wildlife programmes on TV.
Lovely picture, Sandy.

(One chap who befriended the bears was recently eaten by them so perhaps best to use a long lens).

Incredible number of fish in the stream Sandy. Far from being chicken I think you are very brave to be there on your own.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
