Heart of Metal

By EllieEdge
From the day I was out looking for "metal", this is my graduation gift from my parents. On a fence.
I like the shallow DOF but wonder if I perhaps should have included the whole chain on the top? Other ideas?

I really like your idea.
I would of tried to find something else in metal to contrast rusty nuts & bolts or barbed could of maybe entwined the chain around the barbed wire.
Only my thoughts.

Like the necklace...a very nice gift.

I like the enigmatic character of this, romance and heavy engineering. I think I'd have tried for the nearer section of chain sharp, the background section blurred rather than vice versa. But I'm not sure that it would necessarily be an improvement.

I like it, - except for the top left bright area is a distraction.

Thanks for your ideas on developing this subject. Will make a few more efforts, posssibly as variants. Smile

A very nice close up shot. I don't think you should add the rest of the chain because it would detract from the main focus point.
