HELLO!

By wildatheart
I like this image for the facial expression the emu has... but is the image itself up to scratch? Choosing possible images to put together for my Licentiateship panel with the RPS.

The head is patricularly sharp with good detail, the composition is good and you've managed to catch a nice light in both eyes wich is ever so important on wildlife photography, the dof works well - Ina

This is an excellent shot Alison, - really captures the inquisive nature of the bird.

It mat benefit by lightening the eyes slightly, - use the shadow tool in Photoshop CS3 or use curves, - and a little more contrast.

Ive done both in mods, including cropping a little off the bottom, - and the second mod is just cropped to angle the bird a little more.

Hope this helps,

Regards

Great quirky shot of this Emu Smile
Brilliant eye-contact and a superb diagonal composition.
Great clarity and sharpness.
Superb BG-blurring DOF.
Colours are a bit drab I did a mod to show a more saturated version.
Otherwise this image is faultess!

Very well done,
Joe
