Helm Crag

By bazhutton
This is a shot taken from near Easdale Tarn, looking across at Helm Crag in the fore. Behind is (left to right) the Helvellyn ridge, Seat Sandal & Fairfield.

I liked the heavy skies and the way the breaks in the clouds created interesting shadows, which I thought served to emphasise the contours of the land.

Thanks for looking.

Typically Lakeland on a 'good' cloudy day! Super view across the hills.

A favourite place of mine. Always nice to see a shot like this. Great light.
