Helmsley Castle

By DaveRyder
This is the base image for my silly Sunday upload, now firmly back in Yorkshire.
The remains of the accommodation building at Helmsley Castle. I've an interior shot for tomorrow.
A pleasant day spent between here and Rievaulx gave some good images.

Again in B&W and I've continued with the trend of improving the blacks against my previous 'usual' output.

Thank you to all those who have voted and awarded my resent uploads.
This is the last ruins shot until our next excursion into English Heritage properties, likely next week.

A great image of this once very grand home. The b&w works well with the subject...

I darkened the tones and boosted the contrast all in one Curves adjustment as it looked lightweight. I then added a vignette using a strongly feathered selection abd acain using Ciurves.
I had to change the profile to sRGB, as it had some strange grey profile I guess as part of your mono conversion workflow.
