Thanks Pete, yes you are probably right and I did think about it but wanted to give that rock some "space to breathe" which meant I had to leave in the mud and footprints, that'll teach me to compose my shot better lol

Hi Mari, personally not a great fan of the milky waterfalls, much prefer a faster shutter speed to freeze the water.Im used to freezing water in Scotland

Cheers Duncan

I think there's just enough movement in the water. I also think cropping out the footprints would still leave enough room for the rock to "breathe". Excellent shot.

Well worth going back here when the light is even better, could take several visits, but this looks like the kind of place deserves the best light that gets down here. Another wonderful image Mari, good work.

All the very best

Glad to get a 30 in.
IMHO the shutter speed is spot on,things tend to be overdone to emphasise a point. This isn`t one of those occasions.

This looks a lovely falls Mari.Have never been to this location.
That branch at the foot of the falls looks a good subject with the water in the back ground.Just a thought if it is accessible that is and you would have to get there before the next floods.
All the best.
Tom.

Just right - slow shuuter speed is overdone and has become a cliche

I'd be curious to see a longer exposure, though the water at the bottom may get blown out in such a case. Tough to decide, but this could be Hawaii if the plants were a little more tropical.

Seems I did the right thing then not to smooth the water too much, thanks everyone for your feedback.

Duncan - can just imagine you with icicles on the end of your beard Wink

Hawaii? I wish Patrick, although Wales isn't that bad LOL

Lovely image Mari, I like the tranlucent water with background showing through. That effect may have been lost with a longer exposure.

I did write on this one earlier Mari but EPZ decided to go peculiar and my fine words didn't register LOL.

It is a fine view and not too slow a shutter speed though I must admit like Duncan I love sparkling freeze frame water . xxx
