Thanks also to banehawi for your mod. I think I'm trying to get the three areas of sky, cathedral and sculpture to occupy three different tonal ranges. The sky a dark, mid grey, the cathedral, close to dark grey and black ( apart from the lit side ) and the sculpture a range from white through to mid greys.
I think the sensor on the Samsung phone has had trouble with the brightness of the sun on the sculpture and produced a visual echo on the head, not something I was expecting.
