Hepworth 3

By James124
Continuing the Hepworth series with a colour/B&W pair, leading with the latter. I don’t normally use heavy vignettes, but the shape of the vignette followed so closely the line of the sculpture that I felt it worked well. This is one of the smaller works in the house rather than the garden.

Thank you for your votes and comments on Hepworth 2 yesterday, much appreciated as always.

Beautiful curvaceous shapes, brought out best perhaps in the b&w. I agree about overly heavy vignettes, but this does work really well to highlight the subject.

Yes, it does look like a fine marble soapdish!! 😁 I like both equally, and the vignette works well 😃👍🏻
