Herbaceous border, Harlsey Hall

By oldgreyheron
The National Gardens Scheme arranges for thousands of gardens to be opened to the public each year to raise money for charities. Last weekend we visited the gardens of East Harlsey in North Yorkshire. Most of the gardens were small, but Harlsey Hall had opened its magnificent grounds, and the high point had to be this stunning herbaceous border! The eryngiums were exquisite!

I hope someday to come over during the "garden season". I love the profusion of perennials.

My're right, Mike. 'Stunning' is the word! A bee's smorgasbord, this. A flower photographer's too Grin

Great shot of this wonderful sight and thanks for sharing it!
