Heroin Addict

By challicew
As previously mentioned, I do freelance work as a councellor at a Rehab in the city where I live.
Part of the program is for the patients to put a play for what we call "A night at the Oscars".
Here the patients have to write, direct and act out plays that depict their life style before coming to the rehab.
This young man is genuinely an ex heroin addict and had put together the type of senario that he was involved in.
He won the "Best Actor" award for that evening!
He has been clean for about 2 months now!

v.meaningful indeed! i can't imagine it is easy for someone recovering, to re-inact this scenario and go through the motions this way. that only makes this image more powerful for me. great work - both the capture and the councelling!

Just been looking through your PF after your coment on the Hilda May pic (thanks for being a dutiful parent, I'll pass you message on to the band Wink ).

You've got some amazing shots in your PF, I'm very jealous that you have that right on your doorstep. This image though really stepped out, maybe because it was so different to a lot of the shots around it but it's such a strong image with a great back story, the tone really adds to feeling.

Now to click on the rest of your PF Smile

Its a strip of cloth that he used to tie his arm so the veins could stick out, then he used to pull the one end tight using his mouth while cooking the 'Thai White'
