Heron in the 'lime light'

I usually see herons on a branch, in the water or in flight. This was the first time I'd seen one hiding in the undergrowth - in this case next to the large lake in the middle of Kew Gardens. He took no notice of me whatsoever, as I crouched down to photograph him and instead just kept a watchful eye on me. This is the result. The photo is worth seeing expanded because, although I say it myself, the detail is pretty good!
