Hidden raindrop

By Kaxxie
Morning everyone

I took this on Saturday when I went round the garden on my raindrop hunt. The rain drop is hidden in the petals. The sun is just catching it and making it gleam. V1 is looking into the petals at the raindrop. It looks like a pearl. These little violas have been brilliant. They flowered in the autumn through to early winter and have been flowering since March.

Thank you are for your votes and comments on the snail and his water sliding agapanthus leaf and to Vince, Rich and Isabel for your valued UAs. You are all greatly appreciated.

Take care everyone

Karen

Nice flower, - a Pansy?

After all that photo critique work to learn how to do better raindrops, it hasn't rained for 3 days! Apparently they have a break in rainy season the same as our 'Indian summer" when we have a week or so of warm weather after we have started into winter.

Itís a Viola Willie. It is more delicate & has slightly smaller flowers than a Pansy. Iím sure theyíre the same family though.

Thanks for the mod. It brings out the colours perfectly.

Take care

It looks ready to roll off in V1, with a slight wind helping it on its way! Personally I use a watering can to produce them! Is that cheating?

Thatís what they call Sodís Law Dora. You could create your own raindrops using a hosepipe. 😉

Good luck
