not a bad shot, surely you can geta bit closer, the deer in richmond park are relatively tame.

Yes John you can get closer, but at this point this stag was having a bit of a confrontation with another over a group of doe's.

I have some closer shots but the main thing with wildlife photography is ensuring you treat your subject with the respect it deserves and to ensure it doesn't feel threatened by your presenance, secondly you should never put your subject or yourself in danger.

This was taken near the Richmond Hill entrance. :o)

Nicely taken. You have captured that attentive look well. I'd be tempted to crop the bottom 1/6 to just above the darker patch of grass.
