I'm thinking huts for ice fishing although I don't know that your winters are cold enough for that and usually they are not on stilts but rather skids. I can't think of any other reason for them to be out there. Not sure what you were going for but I like what you achieves.

as even before going into it I knew I would need lots of photoshop to clean the mess in the background

I don't know how much editing required, but it's very well done.
I'll add my UA to the others.

I love the simpleness of this with the gleam on the water, almost like ice with the reflections. Well done.

I think you've got a gret result, bold with simplicity of composition and very attracive pastel tones.

work well done---this is a very attractive image--one that tells an easy to read story!
I gave you my last UA I loved this so much. You did a wonderful job on this, even not knowing what you had to remove from the b.g. All I know is this photo is superb with such a mystical feel. Congratulations!

I really like the simplicity of this image, Jason. The pastel colours and the ice like water give a mysterious dreamy ambience. This excellent minimalist photo gets my award.

GE Award No2

As soon as I saw the thumbnail this I knew it would be good, and on my big screen it looks superb, the colour palette is so very limited with those pastel tones, technically it ticks all the boxes and Its one minute forty seconds worth of good photography in my book. I can deal and live with a lot of Photoshop work it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Also you cant just turn up at this location on chance it takes a lot of planning and tide, weather, clouds all need to align. Great job Jason
