Highland Harvest

Taken on the north side of the Black Isle with Ben Wyvis in the distance and the first snow of winter on the upper slopes. With the weak sunshine a faint rainbow can be seen just below Wyvis.

I don't remember how often we see snow on the tops in early October but it certainly contrasts with the warm late summer- autumn colours at lower levels: very pleasing image, Phil.

Beautiful image; I always long to stop the car on the Black Isle for these wheat fields when we're making the long drive up to Assynt, but usually don't have the energy. Lovely to see what might have been...
