Two fine head shots, Rende, but the composition, crop, and low pov makes v3 my winner.

Great images, although knowing what I'm like I'd have been searching through the dung for the beetles etc Blush
11 Apr 2013 12:53PM
There's not many Friesians in the Cairngorms I'm thinking, certainly not climbing.
Love these shaggy big cattle, but the do smell hellish up close.

Probably the most attractive cows there is. You've captured 3 fine shots Rende. V1 is my favourite.......Sandy

A great capture Rende, they are out of place in Holland and without any hills , Love V2, the blind Cow...John

Out of place but they look like they belong!

They try to raise the Highland Cow here in southern Pennsylvania, but it is way to warm in the summer--- just keeping a few as pets, and/or novelties---

2 excellent close-ups Rende - V3 appears to be a panoramic but does not open fully in large view. It's cut off both ends. !!!!!!

All three are strong images Rende but V1 is my favourite. This has a very good composition using the negative space to the right but I think the image would be much stronger if you cropped up from the bottom to get rid of the cattle/trees in the distance. Its too small to add context and just distracts the eye. Very good though.

Thanks for your valued suggestion Derek. That little line of cattle is my favourite part of the image, but maybe it is too subtle to come across as I meant it. I kind of saw the cow haughtily turn away from that tiny flat part of Holland and yearn for the majestic Highlands Smile
