This is a beautiful portrait but there is an overall general softness. That is not a big problem in portraits but I would expect a shot from a 35 mm lens at f/7.1 to be tack-sharp . . . . even allowing for the 1.5x crop factor giving the equivalent of around 50 mm. That suggests you might have done a little post processing or missed the focus slightly. If it is the former, then the solution is easy – a little less processing especially around the eyes as Willie suggests. If it is a question of focus then again, the solution is easy. This is a great starting point for a repeat photography session.
Considering the composition, the subject has beautiful eyes and the rapport with the camera makes them the obvious focus and point of contact with the viewer. Those descending hair strands lead the eye down to that small charm at her throat. Then the eye travels around her face and back to the other eye. It makes sense to me. Are those color streaks in her hair? If so, a little tweaking of the color sensitivity when converting to B&W might enhance them and show a little more of her personality.

Now, THAT is good photography. You've succeeded in convincing her that she actually looks as lovely as you knew she did. That is no mean accomplishment.
