Himalayan retreat

By Woolhead
One of my shots from India last year high up in the Himalayas, just trying to portray a thought provoking scene through this image.

This image is clean and un-edited at the moment.

Camera was a Canon 500 D with a 70-200 EF-S lens, ISO 100, 60mm, f5.6, 1/200sec

It's a nicely observed scene, which to me looks a little underexposed and lacking in contrast. I would expect it to be more sharp and contrasty to make more impact, though the construction and composition is fine. I'll do a mod if I get time.

That's all that's wrong as far as I can see.

As Nick has said, it's a touch underexposed and I'm not really sure quite how dark it's supposed to be.
I've uploaded a mod. in which I've used curves to adjust the exposure and subsequently, the contrast. In fact, I don't think I've adjusted it enough.
I also cropped it to an 8x10 format.
Hope this helps.

Welcome to Ephotozine, and enjoy the site.

Very nice atmosphere in this moody shot. I personally like it dark but agree that it benefits with a touch more contrast. So now you have anoother mod. I like Nicks Tide commercial!
