Himley Reflections

By DicksPics
Today's images were taken in the grounds of Himley Hall in the West Midlands. It was the ancestral home of the Earl of Dudley and is now a popular place for local visitors to enjoy their daily exercise.

The lead image is an inverted reflection taken whilst walking around the Great Pool: I felt the sky looked better at the top!!
The version is a two image panorama of the Hall itself - I only had my 100-400 lens with me!

Many thanks to Mike, Jenn, Debs, Will, Geoff, Ken, Trev and Lin for their wonderful awards for my 'Flatheridge Reflections' upload and for all views, votes and kind comments.SmileSmile

I hope you have had a good weekend.

Funny sometimes what you see in abstractions. This is not exception. Love it

The lead is out of this world, whilst V1, brings me back down to Earth, Richard. Lovely twosome.

The lead for me, with the super reflections, like modern graphic art. The house panorama has great tones and composition, and stands out well from the trees in the background.

Right up my street! I love all those hard, squiggly lines - it takes a certain kind of ripple to produce them, and then a fast shutter speed to record them. An I Wish I Had Taken It image...

Two very different images here, Richard, both excellent captures. I like the very wide format of the version, but love those wibbly-wobbly reflections in the lead! 😃👍
