Hinton Ampner Table

By pamelajean
A bit of detail from Hinton Ampner House.

This elegant country manor is modelled and immaculately decorated in the Georgian style.
Ralph Dutton filled it with his fine collections of blue john, marble, hard stone ornaments, 18th century pantings and Georgian inlaid furniture, all a wonder to admire.

Blame the person who places the pieces here for the lack of symmetryTongue!

I was blown away by the response to my Scarlet Peacock Butterfly, I知 sure it was a record number of UAs for me, so thankyou all so much.

An amber glow enhancing the ornate items. Beautiful.

An interesting image Pamela - I'm intrigued by the overall tone - were you on ' warm ' white balance setting.

"Cloudy", Brian. This was taken a while back, so I'm not sure why I chose that particular setting. I usually run through the white balance settings, looking through the viewfinder, and choose the one that looks to be the truest to the colours I am seeing. But I have to admit, it IS very gold.

Thanks Pamela - Cloudy does add a little extra warmth to an image. Not a criticism BTW but I was interested to know.

Weren't you tempted to move the ornaments to get the perfect symmetry? Even though you would have probably got into trouble!Tongue
