His Grace

The cheeky little Duke of Burgundy, fiercely territorial, posing on its favourite perch in the Chilterns Hills near Tring. Fascinating creature to watch as it sees off other flying insects and then tumbles back to its perch. Was in serious danger of extinction at one point but brought back from the brink, partly due to massive efforts of Neil Humes, President of Butterfly Conservation and an all-round great guy.
