They did give everything.
My grandad was the only survivor from a chlorine gas attack. He never worked after the war and had to move from smoky Manchester to live in the cleaner sea air of North Wales.
We owe them so much for the gallant sacrifices.

They tell me I lost a grandfather in that war as well-- his remains were never found~
A superbly detailed image which captures the texture of the metal plate and the stonework. The damage caused by WW11 bombing adds to the poignancy and the symbolism.

History repeats...again and again and again......Sad

Walking inside the ruins of Coventry Cathedral is quite moving.
