RIGHT THEN - THE RESULTS!
First off, can I say a Huge Thanks to Duncan (v8dunc) and EPZ for donating the prizes. Also to the EPZ members who attended the Pitlochry meet, as the money they have raised is funding the other prizes.
the entries were yet again all of a terrifically high standard - well done to everyone!
SO - without further delay
1st Place. kathersmith (£50 of photography vouchers courtesy of v8dunc) A wonderful image which really gets over the feel of one man totally absorbed in his hobby no idea that the light is failing, or that hes there on his own. We loved the simplicity of the composition, and the hint of red against the blues a worthy winner well done!
2nd Place. Emmeline (3 months e2 membership courtesy of EPZ) we loved the abstract feel to this and the fabulous colours, well composed and presented.
3rd Place. Jara (3 months e2 membership courtesy of EPZ) a great image of how hobbies dont need to take up space or money well composed and a good neutral background.
4th Place. stevoe_mc (3 months e2 membership) a super portrait, great natural colours, made us smile can imagine him with that camera permanently attached.
5th Place. marco_devalle1 (3 months e2 membership) a super B&W image, and a unique take on the theme.
6th Place. miss_v (1 month e2 membership) love the point of view and the clever use of the reflection in the lens.
7th Place. ldavis66 (1 month e2 membership) what other colours could you use for chess than B&W? Well thought out, we liked the feel of confrontation that this image gets across.
