Hole in the Sky

By ade_mcfade
A few days ago I posted a shot of this field with a 200mm lens, here's one taken a few minutes earlier with a more traditional landscape approach - 17mm lens, polariser and 5 stops of ND grad Smile

Was a great sky, but the sun kept hiding, here's an occasion where it popped through the clouds.

Dropped the exposure so just for the bright bits of yellow and the sun.

A scene that I would find hard to 'grapple' with. I just hate it when the spot around the sun gets this bright. It goes to show that in the right circumstances you can carry it off. A splendid catch of the light falling through the rapeseed flowers. Nice, very nice.

Great shot Ade. Worth waiting for that moment of sun.

A well handled exposure Ade, but I think the bottom half of the shot is let down by a bland foreground ... needs a more letterbox crop for me to work - that's where all the drama is.

A definite cut above your average "field of rape" shot ......
