Honesty grows all over the place in my garden, a bit of a thug if left unchecked but....the seed heads are well worth waiting for.

Just experimenting with different ways to apply textures to an image, a slow process as each method shows/hides something different and has very different effects.
I thought the colour of the flower heads needed to be quite intense here but loads of the two textures I chose left on in different places.

Lit by daylight camera left.
Raw file converted in Lightroom and finished in Photoshop with a small general crop, textures and several layers.

Thanks for dropping by.
Stay safe everyone.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.

When I lived with my parents (many, many years ago now!) we always had Honesty seed heads in a jar, they lasted for ages. Don't ever recall seeing the actual flowers though. A fine presentation here, Janet, nice to see the actual flowers, thanks for sharing with us 👍

Out of the darkness into the light.SmileSmileSmile Lovely Janet I think the lighter textured bg really works with that flower colour.

Simply divine Janet - three lovely varied bottles, bold colour of the flowers and those textures worked to perfection.
Please share any new ideas on texturing.
This is beautiful Janet, I planted some seeds last year and I am waiting for the flowers to appear, sounds like I will have to keep an eye on the plants and not let them spread!

I will do my best Kate, when I can remember what I did, next time I will need to take notes for myself Wink
