Honey and Uranium

By Fefe
A set of three images today. Please view large Smile
I have had upload's of a similar thing a good while ago.
This is a dried Hydrangea head that was blowing around in the garden around springtime.
Placed inside some of my coloured glass vases. The lead was inside a honey coloured glass and the two versions were inside some Uranium glass with is a vivid yellowy/green.
Very minimum processing on these.
I hope you like them.

Massive thank you for all recent C&C and UA's! Smile

These 3 would make a really nice set of prints Diane.
A very innovative idea, well conceived and carried out.

All beautiful Diane but V1 just edges it for me. I hadn't heard of uranium glass before. A great idea with excellent results.

Full marks for the imaginative set-up, and if pressed to choose a favourite, then it is the first version.

An interesting experiment Diane.
I like V1 , more in focus bits with a variety of shapes and tones.
The colour in V2 is gorgeous and the increase in sharp areas as one "reads" the image left to right nicely balances the two sides of the picture.
For the lead I'd try a square crop losing the right side and giving a nice diagonal between the two parts of the image, and a better balance between sharp and blur

The tight dof works very well for you here, Diane.
And thanks for lighting up my room.

Three very lovely presentations, Diane, like 'em all, but think I'm slightly biased towards the first version 😃👍
