Honey Fungus?

By Alan_Baseley
Didn't have to walk far to get this shot. It was growing on the lawn, probably on the remains of a Flowering Almond tree that had to be cut down a couple of years ago.
I've trawled the web for identification and the best match I could come up with is Honey Fungus, but I'm not sure and would be grateful if anyone could confirm the ID (or give a correct one).

The light, composition and colours work so perfectly. Can't give an ID but I certainly hope for the sake of your other trees aned shrubs you have it wrong with Honey Fungus!!
