Honister Pass

By JanieB43
I'm not entirely sure how this one will go today....

I decided to have another dabble in HDR and while I agree the process is not to everyone's taste sometimes I think it can enhance certain "gritty" subjects - like rocks - so here goes - I'm sure you'll be more than keen to give me your comments ( I can think of at least one member who certainly isn't backward in coming forward ...if you know what I mean Wink )

Many thanks if you're one of the people who takes the time to view - remember - LARGE & F11 makes it that little bit bigger !

Viewed large this is awsome, great movement on the water, excellent F/G interest, great sky, I think a slight saturation of red and green would bring this more to life, but still one of my favourites today!

Thanks Trev Smile

I tried boosting sats a little but it didn't look right to me - rather "overcooked" so went with the natural colours.

Hi Jane
I think the upload because of the low res makes the colours less vibrant, it happens to lots of my uploads.

Having no experience or knowledge of HDR it is perhaps inappropriate for me to comment: all I can say is that on what has obviously been a very dull day, you have captured excellent detail throughout which your processing has further enhanced (I presume). The detail in the f/g gravels and boulders is exceptionally well recorded. I guess these dull overcast conditions are more the norm up on the Honister Pass.
Ronnie.
