Horcum in Winter

By richardburdon
The snow fell heavily overnight making the journey up to the Saltersgate car park difficult and the long walk down the track to Low Horcum farm even harder, but it proved worthwhile as the snow had turned the valley into a winter wonderland!
Making my way to the valley bottom, I finally arrived at Low Horcum Farm. I really liked the way the low viewpoint allowed the wind-blown tree to frame the abandoned farmhouse and mask a large area of relatively bald sky.

A very well thought out comp that leads the eye in and through the frame, providing lots of depth and the high key processing has worked really well, enhancing the delicate natural structures. It's lovely.

Gerainte,
We're hoping for loads of snow too, despite living on the edge of the North York moors, we don't actually get that much snow
