"House for an Art Lover" - Vol. 2

By RonnieAG
Two interior shots from the House for an Art Lover.

V 1: a stained glass panel with rose pattern on an internal door between the Hall and the Music Room and lit by both daylight and artificial light.
V 2: the Music Room with so many of the characteristic features of the Charles Rennie Macintosh interior designs, and showing the elaborate frame around the piano.

It was in the Music Room that Pamela had her wedding meal served.......I can't imagine a more beautiful venue for such with the French windows looking out over the parkland.

My thanks as ever for all the comments on House for an Art Lover - Vol. 1........your time is much appreciated.

Ronnie.

C R Mackintosh (I believe it is spelled with a 'k'?) is my taste, Ronnie. I have his furniture in my dream house, which would match his Art Nouveau style.
What a truly wonderful venue for two people to celebrate their love for each other.

What a fantastic place to visit Ronnie, I'd love to do just that at some point. And I can't think of a lovelier more contemporary venue for a Wedding Day. Very well Photographed too.

This is a period that I'd love to have been born in, to enjoy the growth of modernism and feel the excitement that the Art Nouveau period evoked, as this room does, having a calming and organic feeling. This is his style, "a contrast between strong right angles and floral-inspired decorative motifs with subtle curves".

Nice images Ronnie but I just can't make up my mind about Macintosh. I spent a day in Glasgow visiting my daughter and was 'Macintoshed' to the point of saturation.
