Being me, I'd have shoved a very wide lens on and got in close to the nearest shoe.
we're seeing a lot of the banister here you see. nothing wrong with that, but it's not as interesting as the rest of the shot - so I'd hone in on the shoes
keep trying stuff like this though, we're short of innovatice shots on here
