You could be right Vicky. Because of the uninteresting sky, I did think about doing this, then I thought, leave it to the EPZ members to decide. Critique is always welcome and for beginners a great learning curve.

The ripples and reflections are beautiful, as is the light on the cliff. The sky looks a little 'worked', perhaps to bring some colour into it? I'd be inclined to leave it lighter and with less detail, as it may 'recede' more readily then and allow the really lovely rest of the image to steal the show. Just a thought. 


Thanks Leigh, I knew this would be one of the issues and would agree with your thoughts. Sometimes trying to make a sky work when it hardly exists can be the downfall for an otherwise OK image?

ah ha ,nice one Ian !!, i actually like it ,even the sky ,why? cos i was there heh heh (actually as i was walking to the cliffs there were some perfect clouds ,but behind nothing )so when the time came for some decent low sun shots.......ahhhh well...next time mate!!.
